This post is about a class assignment for ePortfolios.

I explored a couple of ePortfolio sites.  I looked at ePortfolio.org.  Unfortunately, this site is no longer accepting new accounts or renewals.  I also played a little bit with Abode's Creative Cloud and Behance, however it seemed geared more towards Digital Artists and Illustrators.  I also looked at desire2learn.com.  After reading some of the posts in the ePortfolio Tool Q&A, I decide to try Portfoliogen.  I found this to be a very easy to use and educator oriented.  Thanks Classmates!

Here is my link on Portfoliogen:

Some of the affordances of this tool that I see are:

1.  The ease of use - you don't need to know HTML or website design.
2.  It gear toward the educational community.
3.  It is free!
4.  For a small annual fee, you can expand it capabilites.
5.  It's web-based.  Any one with a web brower can view it.  I tried it on several different platforms  (desktop, tablet, mobile phone) .

This is an educational blog on driving responsibly

This blog will be a way of educating drivers on the benefits of driving attentively and responsibly.  This blog will use content that addresses the virtues of operating a motorized vehicle in a responsible manner to include undistracted and safe driving practices.  There will be statistics on accidents caused by distracted driving that includes cell phone use, map reading while driving, being distracted by other passengers in the vehicle and more.  The technology affordances of using this blog will enable me to post videos and simulations of the hazards of distracted and irresponsible driving and the benefits of resposible driving.  I will be using the Age of Simulation learning theories as I believe for this to be an effective blog, readers will need to have some immersion into the hazards and benefits of the subject.
